Prop Service Incidents: A Timeout Does Not Resolve an Order
A client timeout means the client did not obtain a completed response within its observation window. It does not by itself establish the service’s final order outcome. Preserve the original request identity before considering any repeat action.

Keep the uncertain attempt as one attempt
Record the intended operation, local request ID, time, account and what acknowledgement was actually observed. A timeout can leave the final state unknown. Do not replace that uncertainty with rejected, filled or safely cancelled without account evidence.
A public incident notice describes its stated service scope. It does not resolve a particular request’s outcome or prove the cause of every error. Retain the notice separately from the authenticated order or execution records relevant to the attempt.
Read a fictional later-evidence sequence
Suppose request R1 times out at 10:00 UTC. At 10:02, a supplied account record identifies order O7 as accepted. At 10:03, a distinct fill E2 confirms one unit. Those records can narrow the conclusion if their account and request linkage are established.
If the link between R1 and O7 is missing, do not force the match because the times are close. A Sydney diary conversion can help chronology but cannot establish identity. Repeating R1 while unresolved might create another consequential operation rather than answer the original question.
| UTC record | Supplied observation | Conclusion limit |
|---|---|---|
| 10:00 | R1 client timeout | Final outcome unknown |
| 10:02 | O7 accepted | Needs actual R1/account linkage |
| 10:03 | E2 one-unit execution | Unique fill under verified identity |
| Public incident notice | Separate service statement | Not an individual order receipt |
Review the actual account under its rules
The related resource preserves this site’s uncertain-request notebook. An evaluation review needs the actual account path and product conditions, even during an incident. No waiver, breach, cause or provider outage is diagnosed by the fictional sequence.
The optional sponsored HashHedge link offers current programme information. This page makes no request, sends no support message and retries no order. Its purpose is to preserve uncertainty until same-attempt evidence can support a scoped conclusion.
